Being in My Body with My Baby: Somatic Practices for Parents and Caregivers

Are you caring for an infant? Before reading further, pause for a moment and notice:
– Are you thirsty?
– Is your jaw relaxed or tight?
– Can you feel your breath moving through your body?
– When was the last time you looked up at the sky?

For many new parents and caregivers, these simple self-checks slip by unnoticed. Our focus often revolves around our babies’ needs, leaving our own embodied experiences at the bottom of the priority list. But what if reconnecting with your body could nurture not only you, but also your baby?

Being In My Body With My Baby is a somatic workshop designed for parents and caregivers who want to reconnect with their own bodies, deepen attunement with their babies, and move through this season of life with more ease and presence.

In our time together, you can expect:

  • Gentle, accessible somatic practices you can do while holding or being near your baby

  • Opportunities to build connection with your body as it shifts in this new chapter

  • Shared reflection and community with other parents and caregivers

This workshop is open to all parents with babies (0–18 months). No prior experience with somatic work is needed.

Babies are welcome just as they are—fussy, sleepy, cuddly, curious, mobile, all of it. Caregivers may join solo or with a co-parent, support person, or companion.
